Paula has been a Certified Management Accountant since 1997. Her expertise is with small businesses encompassing such areas as real estate, interior design, retail, sports management, information technology, restaurant operations and consulting.
Prior to founding Capri Consulting, Paula was Accounting Manager with Lowe Enterprises, a vertically integrated real estate company, specializing in accounting for office buildings held by pension funds. Prior to that, Paula was a Senior Accountant with The Macerich Company; a Santa Monica based real estate investment trust (REIT) company which owned and managed large regional and super regional shopping centers.
Paula earned an MBA from Loyola Marymount University and an undergraduate degree from California State University, Long Beach, with an emphasis in Accounting and Human Resources. She also attended two study abroad programs in Asia and Europe. she is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education degree from Brandman University, part of the Chapman University system.
Paula is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants. She was formerly a member of the California Tax Education Council, Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce, Santa Monica College Advisory Board (Executive Committee), Santa Monica Junior Chamber of Commerce (Jaycees) (Board of Director) and the Los Angeles Junior Chamber of Commerce.
Ken has been a successful real estate and banking professional for nearly 20 years with extensive experience managing diverse portfolios of commercial real estate debt and equity in California (both Southern California and Northern California), major US markets including New York, Hawaii, Washington DC, and Florida; and international experience with debt in Mexico.
Since founding Capri Consulting, Ken has consulted with several public, private and non-profit companies on their real estate and management strategy. Ken also works professionally in the commercial real estate and banking industry managing portfolios of debt and equity; some of the companies Ken has worked for include Aurora Bank (f/k/a Lehman Brothers Bank), iStar Financial, Fremont Investment & Loan, California National Bank and Glendale Federal Bank.
Ken earned an MBA from Loyola Marymount University with an emphasis in Management and Strategy and an undergraduate degree from University of Southern California with an emphasis in Real Estate Development & Management. He also attended a study abroad program in Europe.
Ken has served on several non-profit boards including the Los Angeles Junior Chamber of Commerce, Nissan LA Open Golf Tournament, and the Santa Monica Junior Chamber of Commerce (Jaycees). He has also been active with the Strategic Plan Committee and CC&R Revision Committee at the Lake Forest II Master Homeowners Association, the Finance Committee of Irvine Presbyterian Church and is a member of Lodge 672 of Free and Accepted Masons.
